The Quiet Woods

Artist & jewelry designer Kim Dugmore reached out for photography to highlight her work and process for The Quiet Woods jewelry.  She would be using these images for a re-brand and updating her website and social media content. Kim and I spoke about her new vision for the company, the tone of the images she was interested in, how the images would reflect her, her style and compliment the vibe of her work.

The session took place both in her studio for process and environment images, as well as in our home studio for images of her jewelry on a model, and alone with complimentary set design and natural elements. In studio we used a grey backdrop to capture the mood of her work, the silver tones of the material, and utilized our ProFoto lighting and soft boxes for a signature painterly look for images featuring a human element.

Following the shoot and initial cull of the images, Kim and I reviewed the catalogue of images to make selections for further editing and color grading to ensure a flawless integration with her rebrand and updated visual identity.
