Peter Yarrow Memorial Book

Upon the passing of legendary folk singer and activist Peter Yarrow, the Yarrow family requested a memorial book of Peter’s extraordinary life to present to guests at his celebration of life in New York City.

Working intimately with the Yarrow family, we compiled and carefully curated a library of selected images from Peter’s archive and personal family photos to include within the book.  Additionally, we reached out to people who were close friends, colleagues, people pivotal in Peter’s life to send in quotes and stories of memories that they had of Peter to place between the images amongst the pages. Images were then carefully chosen to accompany the words. The interior layout was simple and contemporary, clean and easy to read and also included images of Peter’s artwork as graphic elements in the book. The shape and cover of the book, and cover typography were an homage to the vinyl albums of Peter, Paul & Mary, the back of the book included Peter’s signature as well as the saying he was known best by “Peace & Love”.
